I’m Monika!
My journey as an illustrator began in 2018 when I moved to the Falkland Islands, a place where the ocean and wildlife provided me with the peace and inspiration I needed to create art. Surrounded by nature, I fell in love with illustrating dreamy scenes inspired by the sea, vast landscapes and wildlife.
In 2020, I returned to Poland, where I dedicated myself to developing my unique style and started my small art business in the midst of a global pandemic. I began by painting watercolor family and wedding portraits and soon expanded to product labels, posters, pattern designs, and more. Each new project was a step toward realizing my childhood dream: creating my first children’s book!
That dream came true when I illustrated and wrote a very special story: “Bruno” in collaboration with Project Dignify. The characters from the book even found their way onto children’s hospital pajamas, bringing joy and comfort to young patients.
In 2021, my creative journey led me to the Netherlands, where I officially launched my own brand Monia Designs!
Today, Monia Designs offers custom illustrations, family and wedding portraits, birth cards, pattern designs, greeting cards and window display/blackboard designs. Each piece crafted with love, inspired by nature, and driven by my passion for storytelling.
Whether it’s a whimsical illustration or a personalized portrait, my goal is to create art that brings a little bit of magic into everyday life :)
